Reported by Yang Kang, a reporter with Zhuhai Daily: Zhuhai Great Aim Group has taken a key step towards its path of industrial transformation. On December 23, the group held a signing agreement on the cooperation of LED white light communication project with National Key Lab for Semi-conductor Joint Innovation at its base in Changzhou, Jiangsu, to accept the white light communication patented technology and provide leading technical support for the group's LED industry project.
Established in 1994, Zhuhai Great Aim Group is an integrated cross-boundary enterprise based on real estate development and sidelined in areas such as engineering construction, property management, international trade, education investment, cultural communication and hotel investment. Since this year, the company has begun to transform itself into a high-tech enterprise, make a huge investment to step into LED industry and planned to construct a professional manufacture and service park of semiconductor lighting industry in Yunfu.
LED white light communication technology transferred to the group is an emerging communication technology which developed countries in the world strive to study and develop. With the technology, information to be transmitted is firstly compiled into a modulated signal, which is then added to the driving current of a LED lamp with the method of pulse width modulation. The LED lamp will then flicker at an extremely high frequency. Though we can't see the flickering, it can be detected by a photosensitive element and converted into information to be transmitted, thereby fulfilling the purpose of transmitting the information with the lamps The technology is highly confidential, and does not occupy wireless channels.
Besides, the aforesaid technology can also take each lamp widely distributed indoors as a positioning reference point, namely, "satellites" in GPS system to achieve accurate indoor positioning, whose accuracy can be more than 10 times higher than that of conventional technologies. The lab has fundamentally solved the series of theoretical problems of white light communication and positioning and has submitted eight invention patents.
According to related principal of Great Aim Group, this time the cooperation with National Key Lab for Semi-conductor Joint Innovation will greatly promote the industrialization process of white light communication technology and fill the industrial gap in the field. Meanwhile, it will also provide a strong technical support for the LED industry project of the group and be good for enhancing the technology content and market competitiveness of the products in the future.
