Chinese Companies first try to commercial application
Whatever Japan, Korean, USA or China, all engaged in the research of LED Visible Light Communication. One company named “Bytelight” founded in 2011 was attracted more and more attention in such field. From the beginning development to financing, Bytelight have right now cooperated with lighting company, and prompt into product producing. Relatively, Chinese companies begin much later.
As a cooperation project with State Key Laboratory of Solid State Lighting, LED-LBS U-beacon system developed by GAOC make up for the interference of surrounding light in the aspect of visible light reception. U-beacon system use CMOS camera instead of LED to receive light signal. And in the middle of this year, commercial application “E-Guang” App with 3D visible map was on line, and already been into trial operation in Changzhou.
Miss Wu, the secretary general of China Solid State of Lighting Alliance (“CSA”) indicated that LBS has a promising future. On her view, U-beacon system indicated the way of LED future development not only from its technology but business operation as well. Meanwhile, she also suggests that LED industry no doubt will be showed a leap development in future ten year whatever on Policy or Market perspective. In fact, on 23th day of May, “E-Guang” was going on trial operation in shopping centre in Changzhou. Afterwards, our technical team updated the version of product to apply in such big business projects. Until now it can modify 3D indoor map and 360 view of panorama. At same time, in the day of testing, we put some games like “Harvester“ on line, shoppers can enjoy the game when they are wandering in the shopping centre.
